Intellectual Property in the Digital Environment

Join us on Monday 26 January at 18:00 PM for a seminar on Intellectual Property in the Digital Environment at our premises. The conference will be held in collaboration with the Indian Business Chamber of Luxembourg.

The interaction between IP and the digital world is a source of continuous challenge and has led to some of the most mediatized litigation and legislative discussions today. The issues vary from copyright licensing practices, liability of ISPs, database systems and cross-border transfer of works to trademark, domain name and patent issues. Our speakers shall take us through some of the current issues and help us understand the trends in relation to IP protection.

  • Michele Woods, Director of Copyright Law Division at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Geneva
  • Katia Manhaeve, IP/TMT Partner, Allen & Overy Luxembourg
  • Lex Kaufhold, Director of the Intellectual Property Office in the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade in Luxembourg

Please register online by Friday 16 January to avoid being charged an entrance fee for non IBCL members.

The seminar will be held in English. Registration will commence at 18:00 PM, with the presentation starting at 18:30 PM, followed by a networking cocktail.
